Apparently David Hasselhoff and Eddie "My girl likes to party all the time" Murphy aren't the only tv/movie stars to try their hands as recording artists.

I'd believe Patrick Swayze or Corey Feldman (!) were musically
competent before I believed Steven Seagal could play guitar.
