Auf wiedersehen
They finally scored a goal, a very nice goal for that matter, and Italy even won just in case the Americans managed to do the same. But they didn't. I'm not gonna gripe about the bad call that gave Ghana a penalty kick right before halftime and a subsequent 2-1 lead simply because the way the USA played wasn't very deserving of a win today.For all the talk about how far the US had come entering the tournament, Germany 2006 showed how far behind it is from the competition, namely in the scoring department. It's an exercise in frustration to watch the Yanks push forward, send the ball to the wings and lob passes to the center in hopes of connecting for a header. Throughout the tournament, they never looked like a threat to score a goal outside of set pieces. And until they figure out how to finish, they'll never be a threat in the World Cup.

Oh, the US got knocked out of the first round? What a suprise, tell me what Bruce Arena's Deal is cause the deuce would like to know. Who is he and why does the American national team consistenly hire this pud. Is he some legend i dont know about? Anyways I knew the Americans were in the shit when they announced the roster for the cup. Us Americans are nostolgic like the French, bring back the name brands and everything will be at a premium. Im suprised Kobi Jones wasnt still around cause he's like experienced man...at sucking vs the world. Oh but he's awesome during qualifying....vs. CANADA! and VENEZUALA! Anyways its a shame that they are out of the cup cause now everyone around here is like fuck the cup unless their brown and work in kitchens, like me and the rest of the Ecuadorians and Mexicans.
ps. America has to be one of the worst teams at set pieces, try and argue with that. Donovan wtf was that?! What a pud. Theres no joy when they play i can just see it, just a bunch of jocks who dont understand why they are even playing soccer.
Haha your hate for US soccer will never die, but in this case it's all warranted. Bruce Arena needs to go. His tactics were awful (we need to score and win so lets go with a 4-5-1!), his roster underperformed except for Clint Dempsey. USA needs more like him, a poor boy from texas who learned to play from hispanic kids. And don't ever mention Cobi Jones again! He and his generation needs to go away and thankfully this cup should usher in the next group of players. Bye-bye Eddie Pope, bye-bye Reyna, bye-bye Keller. And throw in Landon Donovan too. He was a joke. I'm sure he'll kick ass in MLS once he gets back but he'll never cut it in Europe.
USA's set pieces were shit all tournament. However, that's the only time they have a chance (no matter how feeble) at scoring since they don't have any imagination to go forward and create chances during the run of play. They deserve to finish dead last in the tournament again.
I'll be pulling for ecuador vs. england but mexico is done. Viva!!!
