viva la 80s!

I love youtube. It's brought so much fun and joy to me and the internet. And one intrepid fellow has searched youtube for all the 80s music videos posted there and put them all in one place.

Maybe it was the cocaine but some bands just didn't know what to do with the new medium. Some went the safe route and used concert footage or simply filmed the band on a soundstage, but when bands flexed their artistic muscles, things got really entertaining. A-Ha’s "Take on Me" is timeless but videos like Journey frontman Steve Perry’s "Oh Sherrie" or my beloved Toto’s "Africa" are just laughable. And I must say Foreigner tried too hard with "I Want to Know What Love Is." I know of a better version that blows it away.
